Throughout human history, humanity has been defined by dreamers, whether those who wanted to explore the universe, who wanted to write fantasy worlds or those people who live their dreams every day by making small incremental steps towards a future they define. This is the nature of dreams, it's the big idea, the feeling that sends goosebumps down our neck and gives us a momentary glimpse into our ability, as humans, to create our own future.
Dreams are the defining intellectual currency of the 21st century. They are the last true frontier that is truly yours, you alone can control them and you alone have the power to see a dream become reality. Carl Sagan once wrote “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere”. That imagination is the driving force behind Knoesis. The process from imagination through to execution and result is a manifestation of the experience we have all had in our lives, as unique, colourful as they are. As a compounding ideology, and as stated by Plato:
"The power and capacity of learning exists in the soul already — the instrument of knowledge can only by the movement of the whole soul be turned from the world of becoming into that of being." — Plato, The Republic
Knoesis was founded on a core ideology to create intelligent systems that can extend human capability and create products, software and technologies that empower humans, not replace them. By giving our customers technology to assist their decision making, not replace it. We aim to invert the technological reliance by empowering imagination, creativity and the very sense of humanity with our software.
This may sound ambitious, it’s supposed to.
The world has already become a web of interconnectivity, of double digit screen times and an unhealthy reliance on AI as a black box source of truth. Our communities are now global and our opinions are very rarely unique. My goal with Knoesis is to bring the technological advancements of the 21st century, and beyond, into a forum in which humans retain the ability to affect humanity, not AI. We are, at heart, a technology company creating software and AI platforms for our customers, but we do not black box our technology so aggressively that you will not know why decisions have been made.
Simply put, we build software that empowers, not replaces humans. The core fundamental of this goal is to bring advanced intelligence, technology and software to those people who need it most.
As the founder of Knoesis, I am proud of the work we have completed already, but I am always striving to ensure we push our technology to the furthest reaches of the imagination, both technologically and operationally. Our software is primarily designed for our customers, for industries that remain underserved. Knoesis software is technology for people, to give people the opportunity to obtain their dreams, whatever those dreams may be.
My goal as founder is simple, I want our products to compete in a highly saturated market based on their ability to better the lives of the people that use it. Again, it's an ambitious goal, but something that I believe is achievable. We do not believe technology should define people. We believe it should amplify them. The best systems are not the ones that replace thought, but the ones that make thought more powerful. Technology should be invisible in its complexity and obvious in its value. This is the standard we build to.
As I intend to start as we mean to proceed, and to quote Eleanor Roosevelt
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
